The Criminal Justice Section represents the interests of all lawyers who participate in the criminal justice system, whether defense attorney, prosecutor or member of the judiciary. The section also promotes civility, professionalism and the highest ethical standards in the practice of criminal law; serves as a vehicle for meaningful dialogue among prosecutors, the defense bar and the judiciary on topics of importance to criminal law.
The section, with more than 575 members, sponsors CLE programs and services; provides members with a substantive newsletter; and helps mold the association's legislative agenda for presentation to the N.C. General Assembly.
